Website & App Maintenance (AMC)

Annual maintenance for websites and apps: updates, security patches, backups, fixes and small changes on request.

Website & App Maintenance (AMC)

What is a website or app AMC?

A website or app AMC, or annual maintenance contract, is a yearly support agreement in which a technology partner keeps your website or application updated, secure, backed up and working. It usually covers software and plugin updates, security patches, uptime monitoring, bug fixes and a set amount of small changes, with agreed response times.

A website or app is never truly finished. Plugins and libraries release security fixes, operating systems change, browsers update and your own business keeps changing too. Without regular care, a site slowly becomes slower, less secure and harder to update, until one day something important stops working.

Our maintenance plans keep your digital systems healthy month after month. We take responsibility for updates, backups and monitoring, fix problems quickly when they appear and handle the small changes your team needs, so you always have someone who knows your system and picks up the phone.

What an AMC covers

Each plan includes scheduled updates for the CMS, plugins, frameworks and server software, tested before they go live. We run automated daily backups with off-site copies, monitor uptime and SSL certificates, and scan for malware and vulnerabilities. Bugs are fixed within agreed response times, and a monthly allowance covers content updates, new pages, banner changes and small feature tweaks. You receive a monthly summary of the work done and anything that needs attention.

Questions about Maintenance & AMC

Yes. We start with a review of the code, hosting, plugins and access, then document what we find and fix urgent issues first. Once the system is stable and documented, it moves onto a regular maintenance plan like any site we built ourselves.

Response times depend on the severity of the issue and are written into your plan. A site that is down or a checkout that has stopped working is treated as urgent and handled first, while small content changes are scheduled within the normal working cycle.

Small changes such as content updates, new pages, form changes and minor tweaks are covered by the monthly allowance. Larger new features, such as a new module or integration, are scoped and quoted separately so they do not crowd out routine maintenance.

We isolate the problem, restore a clean backup, remove malicious code, close the gap that was used to get in and change all relevant passwords. You receive a short report explaining what happened and what was changed. Regular patching and monitoring under the AMC greatly reduce the chance of this happening.
